Ashlee Brennan’s job is to manage compliance of Reed Group’s products and services related to statutory disability and family leave. The company serves as a third-party administrator of leave benefits. “I enjoy using my legal knowledge and analytical skills to provide support to our company in creating a top-of-the line product,” she said. “It's nice to be able to work with people from all different departments to create an end product that helps manage absences in the workplace.”

She has found several of her MSU Law courses particularly helpful in her position. “My regulatory state class and legal research class have helped me to be proficient at providing information. Additionally, my experience in the Chance at Childhood Clinic as well as my other externships prepared me for real world experiences.” 

While at MSU Law, Ashlee pursued family/child law as her focus area. “My experiences in this field helped me gain access to a court internship that provided me with valuable experience,” she said. She added, “The student community at MSU Law is both inviting and supportive.”
